New growth on fern

Spring continues with new growth everywhere.  I have found the color transition from new growth to normal growth interesting.  This fern has great color on the tips of it's fronds which disappears as the season progresses.

Hosta leaves after a rain

The hosta leaves were covered in fresh rain and the way the water beaded intrigued me.  So started with a very tight view later moving out to do a more encompassing rendering.

Oregon surf fishing in early spring can be hard

About a dozen intrepid fisherman decided to surf fish the incoming tide.  Not the best of conditions.  This is an older women in both of these shots.  She was decked out with a orange floatation device.  Obviously she had been here done that.      Double click to enlarge any image.

Wandering through Cook Park this evening

Enjoyed the color variation in this plant.  New growth is red older yellow green.  Interesting.

Trying to get a shot of the river when I looked over and this guy was just hanging out about three feet away.  Decided that he needed a portrait.  He obliged and let me take several shots.

Spring path through Cook Park. Like the dappled light.

Mt Hood, Oregon Shoot day

Had a photo shoot on Mt Hood a couple days ago.  Clear sunny and warm.  Quite a day.  As we were setting up I noticed the great cross light on the mountain.  Had to shoot a couple of quick panoramas.
Had to try a Black and White version
This is a shot of the White River canyon.  I liked the patterns I think created by wind, melting and refreezing.
